North Carolina men jailed in drug bust
Two North Carolina men face drug charges after
smoking drugs in front of a law enforcement officer.
Parked in a restaurant parking lot off U.S. Highway
321, Ninth Judicial Drug Task Force Agent Brendan DeBoer noticed a
black Hyundai with two men inside pull beside him. DeBoer noted the
men acted suspiciously, hiding their actions as they leaned over
to smoke something. At that point, DeBoer exited his vehicle and
could immediately smell marijuana.
I asked the driver, Justin Sharpe, if there was any
marijuana in the vehicle and he stated there was a jar in the
trunk, DeBoer wrote in his report, noting he asked both to exit the
vehicle. The passenger, Ian Baker, had a small amount of Dab or
Hash oil in his left pocket.
DeBoer searched Sharpe and found four glass vials of
suspected hash oil. A search inside the vehicles trunk found a
large black bag of numerous glass vials of hash oil, two jars of
marijuana and blotter paper believed have a 2-CE, which is a
psychedelic phenethylamine. Sharpe said there was more than 100 hits
of the substance, according to DeBoers report.
