Nicholas Edwin Shipley, age 40, of Lenoir City, was called home to Heaven May 21, 2024, following a heart attack while on vacation in Florida.

Nick was born July 21, 1983, to Edwin Wilburn Shipley and Kelley Henry Shipley. Nick was the Vice President of J W Wilburn Hardware, Lenoir City. He was the fourth generation to carry on the operation of the hardware his great grandfather started. Nick grew up on the Shipley farm and lived on the farm in Loudon County most of his life. Nick enjoyed fishing, gardening and cooking. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a devoted husband, son, nephew, cousin and friend.

Nick is survived by his beloved wife, Ashleigh Arden Shipley; his parents, Kelley Henry Shipley and Edwin and Gwen Shipley; his sister, Blaire Shipley Burnette and her daughters, Hailey, Sydney, Lettie, Tori and Bailey; aunts, Ann Shipley Allen, Tracy Henry Foster (Steve), Robin Henry Marrow (Greg) and Jada Ward Cable (Jason); cousins Jim Fox, Sara Fox Rowe and children Sam Rowe and Elizabeth Jackson; Lydia, Noah and Aaron Foster; Zachary Sullivan and Ethan Adams; Elizabeth and Natalie Cable.

Nick was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Ralph and Helen Shipley, A B and Helen Henry and his uncle, William Allen.
