News Herald Arrest Report
County inmate found with
contraband An inmate picked up additional charges when officers found multiple drugs on him after he was booked at Loudon County Jail. Receiving information that Franky Ray Robinette, 48, Loudon, was in possession of a purple glove that contained illegal drugs, Loudon County Sheriff's Office Deputy Cody Bengel alerted jailer Lt. Jake Keener and other officers, who went to F Block to located Robinette, according to the arrest report.
Robinette gathered his
belonging, was removed from the
cell and taken to the booking
area, according to Bengel.
During a strip search in the
bathroom, Bengel felt a bulge in
the man's underwear.
"Mr. Robinette immediately
denied the contraband to be his
and then stated that the
underwear was not his," Bengel
wrote.
Officers removed the bulge and
found two purple gloves
containing four clear, plastic
baggies with 14.3 grams of a
substance that field tested
positive for methamphetamine,
five white pills identified as 1
mg lorazepam, 10 green pills
identified as 20 mg oxymorphone,
a Suboxone strip and an
unidentified white pill.
The amount of drugs in
Robinette's possession was
"consistent with the
distribution of (a) Schedule II
narcotic," Bengel wrote in his
report.
Robinette, who was originally
arrested on an active warrant
out of Monroe County, was
charged with possession of drug
paraphernalia, resisting arrest,
simple possession/casual
exchange, possession of
contraband in a penal
