News Herald Arrest Report
Local man charged with
domestic assault A Philadelphia man is facing domestic assault charges after law enforcement responded to a call Sunday in the 200 block of Kelly Lane. Lenoir City Police Officer Nick Halsey talked with a woman who said the night before a man had attacked her after she told him and his friends he needed to leave the property by the time she came back from a walk to cool down. The man and one of his friends had earlier gotten into a physical fight.
After returning, the woman was
grabbed by a man, identified as

causing her to spill a drink on
the floor, according to the
report.
Mr. Morgan then told (the
woman) to go get his clothes out
of her closet upstairs, Halsey
wrote. She advised him that he
could get his own clothes. Mr.
Morgan then dragged (the woman)
up the stairs and into the
bedroom. The woman said Morgan
hit her forehead with his head
and then in the mouth with a
closed fist, Halsey wrote. The
woman went downstairs to get
away from Morgan.

argument, which was when the
womans friend called 911.
