New Voting Machines
If you haven't voted in an election or two, Loudon
County has new voting machines. The new touch screen machines will have
a paper ballot that you can see who you voted for before you actually
cast your ballot. Then if there's ever any questions, election officials
can go back and see the actual paper ballot, a paper trail if you will.
Certainly, the new machines will be different than the ones we've been using since 2006, but we will learn the new system quickly with the added advantage of the paper trail for security. Below is a short video on how the new system works. |
