New Voters

The most resent estimates are that Loudon County's population is now at about 60,000. With higher population, comes more voters. There are currently 44,505 registered voters in Loudon County. That's an increase of nearly 9,000 since the presidential primary in 2020.

Since January 1 of this year, 3,940 new voters have registered as of 10/4. The chart below shows the breakdown of where the new voters are from. Not surprising, Lenoir City has the highest number of new voters, due to their uncontrolled, residential development. However, the city still has more unregistered voters than registered. Due in part to their high Hispanic population and the high number of apartments.

While Tellico Village residents are registered in the 1st and 7th district, the village has nearly 750 new voters.

As we get closer to the November presidential election, the number of new voters is expected to continue to grow.

Thanks to Loudon County Election Administrator, Susan Harrison, for the updated numbers.
