New Training Facility

Loudon County, Lenoir City and Loudon City officials held a ground breaking for the first responder training facility in Lenoir City.

The facility will allow local law enforcement and fire fighters to take training without leaving the county.

The facility was made possible by a $1,000,000.00 donation from the Loudon County commission and a $250,000.00 donation from the City of Loudon.

The facility is planned to be open next April.

It will be named the Don W. White Training Center for the current Lenoir City Police Chief. Lenoir City Mayor Tony Aikens said the groundbreaking was a watershed moment for the city and the county.

“It’s not just Lenoir City’s,” Aikens said. “It’s a great day for Lenoir City and Loudon County.”

It is scheduled to open April 2025.
