New Clerk's Office 4
| The long awaited, new county court clerk office, is
getting real close to done now. The new office, on Hwy 321 beside the
new carwash, is planned to be open by the first of the year. This is the
office where you get and renew your car tags, and much, much more.
The need for the new office is driven by the growth of the county and the work load in Loudon office. Well over half of the customer base for the clerk's office comes from the upper end of the county and with no real way to expand the Loudon office, the Lenoir office will greatly lower the Loudon office work load while providing greater ease of access for the North end of the county. The new office, on Hwy 321 beside the new carwash, is planned to be open by the first of the year.
