New Agenda Law
The state legislature just passed a new law pertaining to local
government meeting agendas. The new law requires all local governments,
cities, utilities, planning commissions, etc. to make meeting agendas
available at least 48 hours before a meeting. Fortunately, Loudon County commission has always made agendas available, usually 4-5 days before a meeting. However, as of may 5th, all local governments will be required to make their agendas available at least 48 ours before any meeting. Below is the letter the county received from the county attorney on the new law.
