McNabb Suit Set

The lawsuit brought by now former Lenoir City judge, Robin McNabb, against now Lenoir City judge, Greg Harrison, has been set.

The suit will be heard by newly elected chancellor, Tom McFarland, on on September 12th, 1:00 pm in Roane County.

McNabb is making a constitutional challenge to Harrison's right to hold the office since he is not a resident of the city. Back in January 2021, Lenoir City officials passed an ordinance to allow nonresidents to run for the judge position.

If McNabb's suit is successful, Harrison would be removed from the office. It would then be up to the mayor/council to appoint a replacement to fill the office till the August 2024 general election.

Good for Judge McNabb for taking on mayor Tony "Soprano" Aikens and the Lenoir City establishment. I can't take credit for the "Soprano" part, somebody else shared that one with me.
