The county was forced to file suit against Matlock for violation of county zoning regulations which he has so far refused to correct. He has now been in violation for nearly 1,000 days since ordered by the board of zoning appeals to correct the violation. Matlock could be facing up to $50,000.00 in fines for the violation.

Matlock recently announced he plans to run for county commission in the 2022 election.
