News Herald Arrest Report
Man jailed after intimidating with hatchet
A local man is facing a domestic assault charge after
threatening to kill a woman.
Dispatched to Bell Avenue for a possible domestic
assault, Lenoir City Police Officer Jordan Samuels talked with Adam
Noel Vincil, 39, who said he was eating dinner with a woman and man
and brought up the subject of his dead father. The woman then
slapped him on the back of the arm. Vincil said he then threw his
chair, flipped over the table and broke several items.
After speaking to the woman, Samuels learned the
woman told Vincil to stop cussing at her in front of the man. She
confirmed that she hit Vincil on the shoulder, and Vincil then threw
his chair at the island table, breaking items on top, and kicked the
trash can.
She goes on to state that Adam then got up from his
chair and said, If you ever hit me again I will get my hatchet and
cut your (expletive) head off, Samuels wrote in the report.
The man confirmed Vincil cussed at the woman and
threatened her. Vincil went outside the residence, retrieved a
hatchet, came back inside and threatened the woman again, according
to the report.
Vincil was charged with aggravated domestic assault
and held on $10,000 bond.
