Loudon woman charged with child abuse
A Loudon woman is facing a child abuse charge after
law enforcement was called May 1 to Hope Way for a welfare check on
her and five children.
Loudon Police Sgt. Mike Newman spoke with several
family members who were concerned the children were not being cared
for by Perla Guerrero, 30.
The defendant knowingly abused her 11-year-old son
who advised the defendant entered the bathroom where he was
showering and put peppers on his private parts and made his brother
help hold him so she could put the peppers on him, Newman wrote in
a report.
The house had not been cleaned for some time (and) it
was hard to move through the house.
Family members claimed a 5-month-old baby, who
was also in the residence, had not been fed all day.
Incidents involving the 11-year-old were
confirmed through other kids in the house and family members who
arrived just as the incident was ending, Newman wrote in a
report.
