Loudon man jailed on drug charges
A Loudon man is facing various drug charges after law
enforcement was called for a disturbance.
Dispatched to Crescent Drive, Loudon County Sheriff’s
Office Deputy BJ Lewis talked with a woman who said Adam Keith
Winters, 44, had been drinking and was verbally abusive to her and a
minor. After finding Winters in a room downstairs, Lewis noticed a
brown zipper bag on top of an air conditioning duct.
“Upon asking Mr. Winters what was in the bag, he
advised he wasn’t sure; it wasn’t his room,” Lewis wrote in the
report. “I then asked Mr. Winters if I could look in it and he
stated no. Winters then stated that there was some marijuana in the
bag because he smokes it.”
After given consent to search the residence, officers
found a container with 66 grams of a green leafy substance believed
to be marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia.
Winters was charged with failure to appear-general
sessions and manufacture, sell, delivery, resale of a Schedule VI
substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and held on $14,000
bond.

conducting the investigation, dispatch notified LCPD of possible

investigation, dispatch notified me that the 911 calls were plotted
at the residence I was currently investigating for underage
consumption,” Green wrote in the report, adding the calls were
traced back to a number owned by Miller. “I gathered the occupants
of the residence in the living room to determine who the caller was.
Dispatch then sent me the audio recording of the 911 call that took
