Loudon man charged with
assault
A
Loudon man is facing a pair of assault charges after law
enforcement responded Saturday to an attempted suicide.
Loudon
County Sheriffs Office Deputy Joseph Finch arrived at a
residence on Huffland Drive and learned David Ashley Yates,
39, and a woman had been arguing. Yates allegedly pushed the
woman down and drug her from the bathroom of the residence
to the kitchen. Finch saw a laceration on the back of the
womans head.
Another man attempted to step in, but Yates pushed him down.
The man had a laceration on his face.
Three children
witnessed what Yates did to the woman and man.
David also
destroyed his bedroom and the bathroom (and) broke a
mirror over his head, Finch wrote in a report. David
Yates (then) went outside to the garage to attempt
suicide.
Officers found
Yates in the garage.
Yates was
charged with two counts of aggravated assault and held
without bond.
Local
man arrested after fight
Dispatched Friday to a gas station on Broadway Street,
Lenoir City Police Officer Jamie Ketner talked with a
woman who ran to the business to call for help.
The woman said David Westley Vandergriff, 30, Lenoir
City, assaulted her and took her phone.
(Vandergriff) came home intoxicated and saw a text
message on her phone that her mother sent her, Ketner
wrote in a report. David asked her about the text
message and she did not answer his questions. She stated
that David got mad and pushed her onto the couch and hit
her several times in the face and forehead. (The woman)
did have a laceration on the top of her head that was
bleeding, an indention on her head and a swollen face.
Ketner, along with two other officers, found Vandergriff
sitting outside a residence on West 1st Avenue.
Vandergriff had a strong odor of alcohol and
marijuana. He said he came home and saw a message from
the womans mother and asked her about it. They began
to argue and (the woman) kicked him in the testicles and
he struck (the woman) out of reflex, Ketner wrote in a
report.
Vandergriff was
determined the primary aggressor. He also had 3 grams of
marijuana and a pipe in his pocket.
Vandergriff was
charged with domestic assault and released on $2,000
bond.

50, North Fairfield, Ohio, was charged with driving
on a suspended license and released on $4,000 bond.

contraband in penal institution, manufacture, sell,
delivery, resale of a Schedule II substance, driving
under the influence and driving on roadways laned
for traffic and held on $54,000 bond.
Sabrina Ann
Currier, 60, Lenoir City, was charged with public
intoxication and released on $1,000 bond.

Gleaton, 53, Knoxville, was charged with capias-general
sessions and held without bond.
Austin Ray
Lee, 19, homeless, was charged with public
intoxication and released on $1,000 bond.
Terisa Jane
Messer, 48, Madisonville, was charged with simple
possession/casual exchange, manufacture, delivery,
sale or possession of meth, driving under the
influence, violation of implied consent, display of
registration plate, and driving on roadways laned
for traffic and released on $11,500 bond.
Houston Cole
Monger, 23, Lenoir City, was charged with capias-general
sessions and released on $1,000 bond.
Nicholas
Allen Sentell, 42, Lenoir City, was charged with
theft of property, violation of probation and
driving on a revoked/suspended license and held on
$4,000 bond.

Ann Skeens, 31, Lenoir City, was charged with
domestic assault and released on $1,000 bond.

Bryon Solis-Julon, 35, Lenoir City, was charged
with domestic assault and released on $1,000
bond.
