Loudon man caught with pot, charged

After stopping the vehicle, Fritts talked with the driver, Spencer Todd Young, 26, and noted Fritts could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Lenoir City man charged

A Lenoir City man is facing a domestic assault charge after law enforcement learned he became upset because a child needed medical attention.

Responding to a call off Industrial Park Drive, LCSO Deputy JC Schultz talked with a woman who claimed Justin Donovan Squires, 30, had become angry when a toddler in the house awoke them because he was sick and needed medical attention. The woman said Squires became “crazy” and locked her phone so she could not use it.

“She then told Mr. Squires that he couldn’t take (the boy) anywhere,” Schultz wrote in his report. “Mr. Squires then placed the 17-month-old son on the floor and struck (the woman) three times in the mouth and head, then threw a bottle at (the woman), striking her in the right leg.”

Squires was charged with domestic assault and released on $2,500 bond.
