| Looks like the Lenoir City council race will be contested. Monty
Ross has returned her petition and has qualified to run in the council
race. Lenoir City elections are "at large" meaning they're non
partisan and seats unassigned. There will be three council seats on the
ballot in November. the top three vote getters will win a seat on the
council.
Candidates for any of the November ballots have till mid August to
qualify.
