Looking Back 2/13
Boy, have I got a humdinger for the Looking Back
segment this week. I thought I had heard most all of the big local
tails, but I've sure never heard this one. This comes from the October 31, 1948 News Sentinel. The Loudon headline is only topped by the Truman, Dewey presidential election coming in two days. I won't spoil the story other than saying I love the one quote from the sheriff. "The mob was yellow and didn't have guts enough to come down and swap lead with me." I will really have to do more research on this one. Enjoy this look back. Page 1 Page 2
