News Herald Arrest Report
Local woman jailed
after using knife
A Lenoir City woman was arrested March 28 after
an altercation with another woman while armed
with a knife.
Loudon County Sheriffs Office Cpl. Zachary Frye responded to a call at a Lenoir City residence and talked with a woman who said Rebecca Leigh Lorenz, 36, had been at the womans house and threatened her with a knife. The woman said Lorenz came to her house to argue about music and became agitated when told to leave. The two got into a physical altercation, and Lorenz allegedly kicked the woman in the mouth and pulled out a knife. According to the woman, Lorenz said she was going to gut (her), while managing to cut the woman on the left hand.
After
the woman called 911, Lorenz left the house
on foot. Frye found Lorenz walking home and
in possession of a knife. A witness
confirmed the events described by the woman.
