On Friday, students, former students and staff lined the the driveway of "Larry Duff Drive" to pay respects as Mr. Duff took his last trip down the road named after his retirement.

Larry Ray Duff's obituary stated that he spoke often of his years as a principal of Eaton Elementary, mentioning the wonderful staff and students he worked with.

According to Principal Ashley Talley of Eaton Elementary School, Mr. Duff obtained the record for longest tenure of a principal at a single school in the state of Tennessee.

Mr. Duff served as principal at Eaton Elementary School for 43 years and was the recipient of the Principal of the Year award during his time there.
