| Local man charged with
domestic assault
A
Lenoir City man was charged with domestic assault May 10
after a child called 911.
Loudon County Sheriffs Office deputies were dispatched to a Lenoir City home late on the evening of May 9 after a 9-year-old called to report Jose Cucul-Chub, 35, was punching a woman. The officers talked at the scene with Cucul-Chub and the woman. Cucul-Chub appeared heavily intoxicated with bloodshot, watery eyes. He urinated on himself while speaking with officers, according to the arrest report. The woman, who had red marks on her left jaw, said she and Cucul-Chub had gotten into an argument because of his level of intoxication. Cucul-Chub became angry and punched her twice with a closed fist before trying to drag her by the hair.
Two children were
present and witnessed the assault. LCSO submitted a
referral to the Department of Childrens Services.
Cucul-Chub was charged with domestic assault and released on $2,500 bond. May 7
