| This past weekend, the Lenoir City School Board took
a trip to Pigeon Forge to "discuss" Lenoir City School Board business.
By the way, I have it on good authority they didn't meet at the Shell
Mart Subway. But the school board is a bunch of piker's. This week, the Lenoir City council/utility board members and others are taking their annual junket to Savanna Georgia for the TVPPA, Tennessee Valley Public Power Association, meeting. The event boasts lots of golf and food and they even offer meetings if anybody wants to attend. All costs associated with the event are paid for by the rate payers of LCUB. The three day event, beginning today, 5/20, is at the Weston Savannah, in Savannah, Georgia. While this is a Tennessee Valley Public Power Association event, Savannah, Georgia is not on the TVA system. I guess there were no places in Tennessee, on the TVA circuit, that would be good enough for them to meet at. Just remember when you flip on your light switch, you are making it possible for certain members of city council/LCUB to live large. Below are a few links about the event. |
