From District Attorney Russ Johnson LENOIR CITY MAN GETS 20 YEARS TO SERVE AT 100% IN RECENT PROSECUTION Ronald Martin Johnson (age 63), formerly of 425 Hwy 70 West in Lenoir City was indicted by the Loudon County Grand Jury in December 2023 for multiple counts of sex offenses involving a then 13-year-old child. The initial allegations were reported to DCS in late 2023 and subsequently investigated by the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office. The 9th District Child Advocacy Center performed the a forensic interview on the victim in this case. The case was presented to the grand jury by LCSO Detective Rondel Marty Branam along with LCSO Sgt. Chad McVay. The case was prosecuted by District Attorney General Russell Johnson’s Office with ADA Jed Bassett being the lead prosecutor. Lori Beaty served as the Victim Witness Coordinator on this case. On Wednesday, May 29th, Ronald Johnson pled guilty to Statutory Rape by an Authority Figure and received a 10-year sentence at 100% service. Additionally, he pled guilty to Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and received an additional 10-year sentence at 100% service. The two sentences are to be served consecutively for an overall effective sentence of 20 years to serve in prison at 100% with Community Supervision for Life on the Sex Offender Registry. |
