Lenoir City man jailed after threat
A Lenoir City man is facing multiple charges after
allegedly threatening to kill a woman.
According to Lenoir City Police Department Inv. Brad
Brown, Travis Brian Hood, 39, left a voicemail March 18 at a
financial institution in Farragut saying he had been to a branch
office in Lenoir City with a gun in his hand and that the employees
were gone.
“This was just after the defendant had stated to the
corporate ... office that he was en route to the Lenoir City branch
to shoot (a financial adviser), an employee of (the financial
institution) who handles his account,” Brown wrote in a report. “The
message was placed from a phone that is known to be his and (I) was
able to identify his voice based on previous interaction.”
The business closed and hired private security
because of the threat.

counts of false reports and two counts harassment (verbal
threat) and held on $40,000 bond.
