Lenoir City man arrested on rape charge
Micah Benjamin Dils, 30, was charged with rape, aggravated domestic
assault and violating an order of protection in the incident. He was
being held at Blount County jail on a total $75,000 bond pending a 9
a.m. March 29 hearing.
According to BCSO, deputies responded to Tennessee Truck Driving
School on Singleton Station Road Tuesday. Reports said a witness
there told officers that while working on a truck with Dils, he
noticed Dils had several scratches on his face.
As told in BCSO reports, the witness said Dils told him he had an
argument with the alleged victim in the incident, a 39-year-old
Maryville woman, the argument taking place the previous night in the
local apartment they had been sharing.
The witness said Dils admitted shoving the alleged victim to the
ground in his anger, pulling her pants down and committing a
violent sexual act, according to reports.
Reports further said deputies interviewed the alleged victim and
found her suffering a number of medical symptoms from the
incident. She was taken to Blount Memorial Hospital for
treatment. Dils was taken into custody without further incident.
The BCSO report did not specify how the violation of an order of
protection came into play, nor did it say whether Dils had
recently changed his address from the Maryville apartment to
Lenoir City.
