Apparently, Aikens can only trash talk if he knows no one will point out the facts and correct all the wild statements he's been making about the county's actions. He appears to have no stomach for a true discussion.

The holidays are all passed and everything is getting back to normal routine. So I will again ask that the Committee of 100 facilitate a conversation on the illegal annexations between myself and Aikens. No fussing, no arguing, just the plain facts of the matter.

Aikens was all about having a closed door meeting to discuss the matter, so why would he not want to discuss in an open meeting? This issue has no ambiguous or gray areas. The two annexations were illegal under state law.
