LCUB wins 4th place in Tennessee Valley Lineman's
Rodeo LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Lenoir City Utilities Board competed against hundreds of other competitors in the Tennessee Valley Lineman's Rodeo in Murfreesboro. The competition was hosted by Middle Tennessee Electric Cooperative. LCUB's Travis Collins, Travis Adams and Charlie Brown competed together and won fourth place in the overall category out of 22 teams competing in team group events. LCUB's Charlie Brown took home several first place awards, ultimately finishing as the Top Journeyman Lineman in the entire Tennessee Valley in the "Seniors" division. LCUB participants included Travis Adams, Travis Collins, Scottie Burnett, Charlie Brown, Keith Townson, Brandon Dixon, Brandon Webb, Lavoy Proctor, Matt Ward, Roger Slover, Jed Wilson, Jimmy Williams and Andy Dutton. Teams traveled from all over the south and states as far as Colorado to compete. Safety and Security Director Matthew Fagiana said, "This team works throughout the year practicing, in addition to their normally assigned responsibility, and is a true testament to the highly skilled and motivated men who work at LCUB and have a true passion for serving our communities through their trade." LCUB will host next year's annual Tennessee Valley Lineman Rodeo and will take place in Lenoir City. |
