LCUB Changes
| Back in March, the LCUB board, Lenoir City council,
mayor Tony Aikens plus two west Knox members, appointed Leon Shields as
new General Manager/Chief Operation Officer of the utility. At that
time, it was also announced that now former manager, Shannon Littleton,
would remain on staff for a time. At the last LCUB board meeting, the board approved Littleton to stay on staff as Chief Executive Officer through December 2026 at his current salary, $316,500.00 per year. In another change, LCUB board member, George Bove, has been replaced as one of the two west Knox County representatives even though he lives in Lenoir City. However, several times over the years as a board member, he changed his voting registration back and forth between Loudon County and Knox County. He was appointed to the board back in 2012, by then Knox County mayor, Tim Burchett. Bove's replacement will be west Knox County resident, Leeann Foster. Her term begins July 1st if approved by the city council tonight. There may be more changes coming to LCUB. |
