The committee is formally recommending that the commission provide funding for an all new jail/justice center located in the Center 75 industrial park off Hwy. 72 in Loudon. Cost estimates for the proposal range from 31 to 35 million dollars and would require a large property tax increase to pay for the new facility.

The workshop will begin at 6:00 at the Loudon County Office Building, 100 River Road, Loudon.
