Lenoir
City finance director, Maggie Hunt, has announced her retirement. It was
announced at the last city council meeting, that Ms. Hunt would be
leaving the post in the near future. No date was stated. The council
also voted to hire Shawn Bunch to fill the position effective September
3rd. Ms. Hunt will work with Mr. Bunch for a time before she retires.
Ms. Hunt was appointed as interim treasurer/recorder back in 2007, later becoming the finance director. She had worked in the office as chief deputy prior to 2007.
