| Loudon County Sheriff's Office: HUMAN SKELETAL REMAINS FOUND ALONGSIDE INTERSTATE 75 BELIEVED TO BE THAT OF A MALE, PRELIMINARY EVIDENCE SUGGESTS NO FOUL PLAY PHILADELPHIA, TENNESSEE- Loudon County Investigators are providing more details of the human remains that were discovered yesterday by a TDOT (Tennessee Department of Transportation) Crew in a wooded area off of I-75 near the Philadelphia Exit.
While the scene on Interstate 75
is still an active and ongoing investigation, preliminary evidence is
consistent with that of someone we believe to be a male and possibly a
homeless transient or hitchhiker. While we have evidence
to believe this individual may have died from natural causes or exposure
to the elements, our Criminal Investigation Division continues to
carefully process the scene so that we can rule out any other
possibilities. At this time foul play is not suspected. LCSO Authorities will continue to provide additional updates as they are discovered. |
