NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Former Tennessee Gov.
Bill Haslam has told The Tennessean that he won't run for the U.S.
Senate seat being vacated by Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander.

WASHINGTON D.C. (WVLT) Rep. Tim Burchett's office said with Thursday's news, the freshman
congressman still has to think about a Senate run.
“It’s too early to make a decision," said Micahel Grider, a
representative of Tim Burchett's office. "He’s disappointed Gov.
Haslam isn’t running.”
Rep. Burchett was elected to represent Tennessee's second
congressional district in 2018.
