Gun Ban Down
| The Tellico Village POA board of directors plan to
ban hand guns from all POA properties went down hard Wednesday. Even
though the board had already said they didn't plan to discuss the matter
at their meeting, hundreds of of angry residents showed up just to be
sure the board didn't try to sneak something in on them. So many people showed up at the Yacht Club that at some point, the fire captain announced that the room had reached it's capacity and some folks would have to go to another room and watch the meeting remotely. This is a great example of the the people making their voices heard. But it won't last, the next time the board gets the opportunity to go left, you can bet they will. Time to incorporate. |
