Great Meeting
Last Wednesday, the Loudon County Planning and Zoning
Study Committee held their first public meeting since the county
commission passed the six month moratorium on Planned Unit Developments,
PUD's. A large crowed was in attendance and many spoke on their views of
development in the county.
Commissioners in attendance were, 1st District commissioners Kelly Brewster and David Meers, 3rd district commissioner Bill Satterfield, 5th district myself, 6th district commissioner Adam Waller and 7th district commissioner Henry Cullen. Everyone who spoke was in support of taking steps to control development up to and including the elimination of PUD's. Several had good ideals and suggestions going forward. Over the coming weeks, the Planning and Zoning Study Committee intends to hold more meetings in the different districts to continue receiving input from citizens on future development in the county. Meeting dates will be announced. |
