CRIME ALERT

 

Law enforcement is reporting an increase in catalytic converter thefts from parked cars in Lenoir City, Morgan County, and Roane County. The thieves have struck at car lots, local churches, KARM, and Habitat for Humanity to name a few.

 

Thieves quickly cut the catalytic converter out of a parked car with a sawzall and then sell them for $200-$300. This costs the unsuspecting victim thousands of dollars to replace.
