News Herald Arrest Report

Four caught with meth, drug paraphernalia

Four people are facing drug charges after law enforcement was initially notified of a suspicious vehicle in a neighborhood.
Loudon Police Officer Jonathan Yates arrived in Willington Manor after witnesses informed dispatchers that a group was driving around in a van asking residents for jumper cables.

Yates spotted a silver van exit the parking lot and pull in front of him without yielding right-of-way. Yates followed the van and watched it turn onto Callaway Drive and into a driveway.

“I exited my car to investigate and Barkley (Blair) Wiseman exited the car quickly,” Yates wrote in the report. “I had him return to the car and noticed that all four occupants were extremely nervous and moving around excessively.”

The vehicle was registered to owner and passenger Matthew Aeric Hunter. Others inside were Wiseman, Rebecca Ann Key and Rebecca Lynn Thompson.

After receiving permission to search the vehicle, Yates found corners of plastic baggies, a marijuana pipe with residue, a glass pipe for methamphetamine consumption and digital scales. In the rear compartment of the passenger seat he found 6 grams of a crystal-like substance believed to be meth. Thompson also had 13 grams of meth in her purse. Another gram of meth was found in a candy dish in the rear compartment.
