Focus is on perfect attendance at Greenback

At Greenback Public School, we are always about perfect attendance. As a celebration of Attendance Awareness Month, we have put up a sign in the front of the school to promote the awareness. As another way to promote AAM, Mike Casteel has given out bracelets emphasizing about attendance. On another note, Jessica Spafford has begun selling coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate in the morings for students and teachers. They are selling it in coordination with our Life Skills/ Project ABLE class. This class provides life and work skills for students with disabilities. Also Libby Hess, coach of the GHS High School cheer team, has started selling sweet tea to the students to help support the GHS cheerleaders raising money for new uniforms. Hess has opened up the signups for the 2018-2019 homecoming court nominees. Voting for the contestants will begin within the following weeks. We have welcomed a new scoreboard to our home field as the football season has kicked off. This new scoreboard, accompanied by the players and the coaches of the 1987 championship team, was unveiled at Cooper Field on our first home game on Aug. 24. We were able to receive this scoreboard by the help of anonymous donors. |
