| Early voting is in the books. Big early turnout for
an August election. Four years ago, in this same election, 2,318 voters
went to the polls all together. We've already voted 7,809 just in early
voting. If statistics hold up, we generally vote 65% early and 35% day
of. That means we should vote another 2,700-3,000 on election day. We'll
see if that holds up again this year. Of those
who voted early, 1,413 voted democrat, 6,341 voted republican and
55 chose no party.
Democrats voted 51% by absentee ballot, republicans
voted 13% by absentee.
First District voted 230 democrat
Second District voted 136 democrat
Third District voted 75 democrat
4-Fourth District voted 40 democrat
Fifth District voted 685 democrat
Sixth District voted 124 democrat
Seventh District voted 550 democrat.
Election day it this Thursday. Polls open 8:00 am till 8:00 pm.
