| At the end of two weeks of early voting, less than
10% have already voted. That's pretty low. Of the 3,931 votes cast,
3,029 were in the Republican primary and 893 voted in the Democrat
primary and 9 opted to vote in the general election only.
In the Lenoir City, 459 have cast ballots. The Lenoir
City election includes the contested school board race.
In the 5th district, with a contested school
board race with republican incumbent, Melissa Browder, is
being challenged by Democrat, Jan Hahn, 753 have cast their
ballots, around 140 in the democrat primary.
Election day is this Thursday. Polls
opened 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
