Executive Session
The Loudon County School Board met last Thursday
behind closed doors with their attorneys. The reason for the meeting was
for members to speak with board attorneys about all matters concerning
the recent issues with director Jason Vance and Loudon High School
basketball coach, Josh Graves. Executive sessions are completely legal if the meeting is related to legal actions against the school system or possible or pending litigation. In executive sessions, members are permitted to ask questions of the attorneys and listen to attorney information or advice. However, board members are not allowed to discuss or debate with each other any issues. The attorneys have advised the board not to publically discuss any of the details of the discussions that took place in the executive session. Additional information on the matter may be discussed at the board's next public meeting. |
