New Development Proposed

Last week, I received the information below from the attorney representing Chester Franklin on a proposed new 24.5 acre,  commercial development on Hwy. 321, between Fort Loudon Estates 1 and Fort Loudon Estates 2.

The proposed new commercial development is almost identical to the original plan that was proposed back in 2004 when the property was rezoned that allow for Bella's Landing and Emily's Landing. The commercial section was never completed back then.

The property will be reviewed on July 11th by the Loudon County Planning Commission to consider the request that the Planned Unit Development overlay be removed from the property. That meeting will be at the Loudon County Annex at 5:30 pm.

Exciting news is on the horizon for our community as a new commercial development is set to transform our area with an array of local retail shops, a convenient grocery store complete with a fuel station, and a much-needed pharmacy.

This development holds immense promise for our community, as it not only brings a diverse range of shopping options but also caters to essential needs. With local retail shops, residents will have access to unique and specialized products, supporting local businesses and fostering a sense of community pride. The addition of a local grocery store featuring a fuel station offers unparalleled convenience, ensuring residents have easy access to quality groceries and fuel for their daily needs. Furthermore, the inclusion of a pharmacy brings vital healthcare services closer to home, enhancing accessibility and promptness for medication and advice.

This commercial development is set to revitalize our community, providing a one-stop destination for shopping, convenience, and healthcare, and ultimately improving the quality of life for all residents.

Importantly, it is essential to note that this new commercial development will not be harmful to our community. Extensive planning and consideration have gone into ensuring that the project aligns with the needs and values of the local residents.

Measures have been taken to minimize any potential negative impact on the community. Traffic flow and parking provisions have been carefully designed to prevent congestion and inconvenience for both residents and visitors.

Our goal is to maintain the tranquility of the surrounding area. This development aims to harmoniously coexist with the community, offering a seamless integration of services and amenities while preserving the charm and character that make our neighborhood unique.

Rest assured, the overall impact of this commercial development will be positive, enhancing the community's well-being without causing any harm.
