Director of Loudon County
Schools, Mike Garren, announced several new position changes for the
upcoming school year.
New Principal @ North Middle School
Kayla Vaughn was born
and raised in Loudon County, she attended both Highland Park
Elementary and North Middle School as a student. She is a proud
alumnus of NMS as both a student and teacher and looks forward to
returning to her roots this upcoming school year as Principal. She
taught in the classroom for seven years in grades 3, 4, and 7. She
has also served as an Assistant Principal at Philadelphia
Elementary. She and her husband have two children, Chase and
Matthew. They enjoy attending church, spending time with their
families, and playing with the kids. She attended both Tennessee
Tech University & Carson-Newman University to earn her degrees for
education & leadership. Kayla is very excited to cheer on the
students, teachers, and staff at North this school year as we
conquer academics and rise to excellence! Go stars!

Assistant Principal @ Eaton Elementary School
Jami Welden has 25 years of teaching experience.
Most recently, she worked at Northshore Elementary School in
Knox County from 2013-2022. Prior to Northshore she worked at
Cedar Bluff Elementary from 1998-2013. She has extensive
classroom experience and has served in many leadership roles in
the schools in which she has worked. Ms. Welden completed her
undergraduate degree at Centre College, Master's Degree at the
University of Tennessee, and Ed.S. at Lincoln Memorial
University. Ms. Welden is a mom of three who enjoys reading,
gardening and spending time with family in her free time.

Assistant Principal @ Highland Park Elementary
Rebekah Mammoser is excited to serve as Highland Park’s new
assistant principal. Rebekah has been in the education field for
18 years. She has served as a classroom teacher, resource
teacher, intervention teacher and administrator in Illinois,
California and Ohio. She recently relocated to Tennessee with
her husband and two children and worked as an Intervention
teacher at Highland Park last school year. She looks forward to
continuing to work with the students, teachers, families and the
community of Highland Park.

Assistant Principal @ Philadelphia School
Garrett Casson began his career in education at
Loudon High School where he taught math courses for 10 years. In
2021, he transitioned to Sweetwater Jr. High School as their
assistant principal and instructional coach. He is excited to
return to Loudon County Schools this coming school year to serve
as Philadelphia Elementary's assistant principal. He is eager to
be part of Philadelphia’s positive, community-oriented
atmosphere. Garrett completed his education at Tennessee
Wesleyan University and Arkansas State University. He and his
family live in Loudon.
