Deputy Injured

From The Loudon County Sheriff's Office

Monday afternoon, a deputy from the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 321 and Highway 70.  Fortunately, the other driver did not sustain any injuries. The deputy, who sustained minor injuries, was transported to a nearby hospital but has since been released and is recovering.

After reviewing dash cam video from another LCSO deputy who was present at the scene, the Tennessee Highway Patrol determined that the other driver ran the red light, which led to the crash. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is continuing their investigation, and we appreciate their thorough response to the incident.

The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office is grateful for the support of the community, and we remain dedicated to ensuring the safety of both our deputies and the public
