| This Thursday is the deadline for candidates wishing to seek any of
the local offices on the November election.
Lenoir City, Greenback and Philadelphia city elections will be on the
ballot as well as state officials. Jimmy Duncan, Jimmy Matlock and Kent
Calfee. Duncan, Matlock and Calfee all have challengers.
Below is the most recent petition activity for the city races. Anyone
wishing to seek office in any of these elections has till this Thursday,
August 18th, 12:00 noon to file a qualifying petition.
