Day 47, Nothing
Around the first of May, TDOT contractors set
barriers on Broadway at Hwy. 321. For more than three weeks no work was
done. At the end of May, they finally began tearing up asphalt and
moving dirt. That lasted about four or five days. We're now in day 47
that absolutely no other work, on the north side of the intersection,
has taken place.
So for more than two months, drivers have been inconvenienced unnecessarily. Why is that? They have been working on the south side of the intersection more than the north but why was it necessary to cause so much disruption when it didn't have to be. Apparently, in a long time from now it will be much better but it's ridiculous how this project is being managed. I don't know who the contractor for this project is but I do believe a couple of kids with tinker toys could have managed this project better than they have. |
