THP: One killed, three injured in head-on crash on Highway 11 in Loudon County

LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — One person is dead and three people were injured after a crash on Highway 11 in Loudon County on Saturday, July 6.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2004 Honda Civic was going south on Highway 11 near 8399 Highway 11, while a 2007 Honda Odyssey was going north. THP said the Civic crossed the center line, hitting the Odyssey head-on.
 

Both vehicles came to a final rest in the middle of the road in front of 8399 Highway 11, blocking both lanes.

The driver of the Civic was killed in the crash, while the driver of the Odyssey was injured along with two of the four passengers. One of the injured passengers was a child. The report also does not list any charges.

 
On Saturday, the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office reported that the road was shut down for several hours due to the crash. In addition to LCSO and THP, Loudon County Fire and Rescue and Priority Ambulance responded to the scene.
