Courthouse Lights Are On
| Coming up on 6 years, the 1871 Loudon County is
starting to come back to life. Ever so slowly but ever so surely, the
work to rebuild continues on. Floors are down, nearly all the walls have
been re-plastered and in the stair wells, the old chandlers have been
reinstalled and are shining through the windows again. Completion is still planned for April to mid April, which would be just about of the sixth anniversary of the fire that all but destroyed the building. Hopefully, the builders will make the date. Rest assured, there will be a public grand opening for citizens to come through to see the grand old building restored.
