Two county associated court dates are coming up this
month.
The
case of Loudon County vs Mark Matlock, will be heard on December 17 here
in Loudon County. The county was forced to file suit against Matlock for
violation of county zoning regulations which he has so far refused to
correct. He has now been in violation for more than 1,000 days since
ordered by the county board of zoning appeals to correct the violation.
Matlock could be facing up to $50,000.00 in fines for the violation.
The
second case is the State vs Julia Hurley, will be held on the 21st here
in Loudon County. Most know, but for those who do not, Ms. Hurley
abandoned her county commission seat back in June of 2019 when she moved
out of her elected district. The case has been in the courts for a long
time now due to her attorney's attempts to delay the case.
Both cases will be heard by Chancellor Frank Williams |
