Correction
| Monday I reported that the old nursing home property
on Williams Ferry Road was being considered for annexation. That was not
correct. The property being annexed are the three parcels adjacent to
and north of the nursing home property according to Lenoir City
officials. Those three properties are currently owned by Tennessee Adult Homes Inc., former owners of the nursing home. Tennessee Adult Homes Inc. also still owns all the property just behind the old nursing home known as Williams Ferry Pointe. The Williams Ferry Pointe development is already within the city limits. A local developer is looking to buy all the property owned by Tennessee Adult Homes Inc. to build single family homes. Only the three shaded parcels on the map above are currently being considered for annexation. Still no word on the future of the nursing home property. |
