An announcement from Loudon West End Florist:

As the entire world deals with the COVID-19 crisis, we want to express my heartfelt thoughts to customers and community as we all manage through the impact of these unprecedented and challenging times.

We will remain open for as long as we can, but with safety in mind, Loudon West End Florist is modifying the way we conduct day to day operations.

We will continue to take orders via phone and our website will allow orders 24 hours a day.  Calling us will be your best option for custom requests, and even if you get voice mail please leave a message, every call will be returned, even after hours.  (865-408-8500)

Our shop will be restricted to employees only.  A small customer pickup area will be setup to allow one customer at a time to interact with staff at a safe distance (>6 feet).  We will be handling credit card payment via manual entry so we will ask you to read number and provide billing address.  Staff have been instructed to maintain distance so please do not be offended, as this is the best policy for both customer and staff.  We highly suggest you call ahead before you come to the shop.  It is very likely we can help you with special requests over the phone.

Deliveries will be conducted by leaving them on the porch (or other safe area) or setting down outside for the customer to retrieve.  We will not approach closer than 6 feet to the recipient and cannot take inside home. We will call recipient with location and time delivery was made if they do not answer knock.

It is a strong community that will get us through this difficult time and have us come back even stronger in the months ahead.  While you look after your family and friends, Loudon West End Florist is here to serve you.

Kind Regards,

Jeff & Joy Trout, Mitch Miller

Proprietors

Loudon West End Florist

From Lenoir City Animal Clinic:  As your community partner as an #essentialbusiness during #covid19, Lenoir City Animal Clinic remains open for you and your pet! We continue to see appointments and offer #homedelivery for all of your pet's needs through our online store. Our website will continue to provide ongoing updates.

From Meadow View Greenhouse:  I want to share a couple of things and make a request:

1. First of all, our customers are awesome! We were very busy over the weekend, and the vast majority were patient, kind and respectful of the 6' rule. Thank you!

2. We are one of the businesses deemed essential, so we are still open our regular hours. This could change at any time, so please call before you come. I will also post any changes on our social media sites and our website if we do have to start reduced hours.

3. I gave employees the option of staying home if they were concerned about contact, and several decided to do so. Because of this and because we are trying to keep current employees separated, you are not going to get anywhere near the level of attention you normally would. I apologize, but this if for your safety and ours.

4. I am glad you are using the Garden-To-Go program, but please be courteous. We simply do not have the bodies for you to be on the phone 30 minutes having an employee tell you everything we have and what it costs. If there are specific plants you want, give us a list and we can call you back with availability and prices.

Thank you all so much!

Whether you plan to shop for a home this year or in the future, these options are available virtually or in person (following CDC protocols). We work with our clients time frames and understand that some plans may be on hold right now too. It will be our honor to stay in touch whenever you may be ready and be a resource in the meantime.

To request a Phone or Video Appointment, please call us at 865-237-7328. We look forward to connecting with you from the safety of your own home! Please also let us know if you have interest in a Virtual Home Buyer Workshop complete with a lender and home inspector. Stay tuned!!!

THE PHILADELPHIA PUBLIC LIBRARY IS OPEN

With the legitimate concerns over the spread of the COVID19 virus many traditional institutions have closed or restricted their public access.  This has made it difficult for citizens to conduct many simple, but necessary, actions.  Essential services such as photocopy, fax, and notary functions are available at the Philadelphia Public Library during regular operating hours (follow prompts on this site to Government, Departments, and Libraries for contact information).  We are here to support our citizens in this time of crisis.

The Philadelphia Public Library is a small, community based facility that serves as a destination and sanctuary for local citizens.  Our emphasis is to offer patrons a welcome, safe, and friendly environment while also providing tools – both print and media – for their needs.

Mark Williams, Director

U.S. Coast Guard headquarters has ordered the U.S. Coast Guard Tellico Lake Auxiliary Flotilla 12-02 to cease all operations until further notice due to the Corona Virus Crisis.  As such, I have ordered that our Training classes, Program Visitations and free Vessel Exams to the public be postponed until our operations are reinstated.  Our main concern is to do our part in containing this virus and protect the public from any potential harm.  We stand ready to assist the active duty Coast Guard if they so request it.  We apologize for this is an inconvenience to the boating and water sport community and our prayers go out to those affected by this crisis with the hope that it will soon end.

From Loudon County Mayor Buddy Bradshaw

Good morning,

I just want to let everyone know the plan begining Monday, 3/23 at the County Office Building.

We will have tables set up to create a “stop” in the lobby. Hand sanitizer will be on the table. As people come in they will approach the table  and the Deputy will ask prudent questions about the potential risk of being exposed to or having the COVID19 virus. If the risk is low the Deputy will then ask who they need to see and what is their business.

Vendors will be turned away and the number one question will be answered: “Is this the health department?”

With legitimate business, the Deputy will ask Anita to notify their contact here and that person will come and escort them to their office. Example being someone needs to pick up a petition or turn in a petition to run for office then Anita will let Susan Harrison or someone from her office know and they will come to take them back if necessary.

We are encouraging everyone to use email or fax for purchase orders, requisitions, time sheets, invoices, packing slips, etc. SAVE THE ORIGINALS!!!!!  We will need the originals at a later time.

If you have any questions please feel free to let me know.

Thanks,

Buddy.

LOUDON COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY TO POSTPONE VISITATION ACTIVITIES DUE TO COVID-19 CONCERNS

LENOIR CITY, TENNESSEE - Loudon County Sheriff Tim Guider and Chief Deputy Jimmy Davis moved to suspend regular jail visitation practices due to concerns over the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. This decision was heavily weighed and is in the best interest for the continued health of our inmate population and correctional employees.

This decision also affects property drop off as LCSO will NOT be accepting any deliveries of personal property to incarcerated inmates.

This temporary suspension is in effect immediately and will run through March 19th and will be re-evaluated for March 20th visitation schedule.

Please check our Facebook Page for updates on this issue.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this decision may cause but feel certain it is the best decision for the health and well-being of our Detention Facility Inmates and Employees.
